Terry at Dominica Island in August, 2013.
Getting antennas ready to operate ham radio annual Ten-Ten International contest.
Dominica is a small tropical island in the south Caribbean.
It is sparsely populated (population 70,000) and is not a tourist attraction. Terry & Gerry walked across the valley to a local pub for most of their meals. The locals walk around with machetes for protection and to harvest bananas.
Terry J79TW and his friend Gerry J79GF rented this cottage at Sea Cliff Cottages for a week for their ham radio station and their living accommodations
This is the cottage across the road. It had a beautiful view of the bay. Every cottage had solar heated water and solar power.
The beaches in Dominica are black volcanic sand.
